Completed projects

The following projects have been started in the Beech Island Rural Community Water & Sewer District since the biennial meeting held August 15, 2011 and completed as of August 19, 2013.

  • Altitude valves installed on the water tanks, to reduce or prevent the tanks from overflowing
  •  
  • Variable Frequency Drives installed on pump motor controls to allow the portable generator to start and run pumps
  •  
  • Repairs performed on various wells
  •  
  • New water main installed on Pine Log Place, in preparation for paving of the road by Aiken County
  •  
  • Approximately 19,580 linear feet of new water mains and taps have been installed on Old Jackson Highway and Highway 125
  •  
  • McDonald’s and Sprint has been added to the sewer system
  •  
  • Pine Log Landing, total of 44 lots has added to the water system
  •  
  • Well and treatment building beside existing tank at Piney Heights and Pine Log Road
  •  
  • Sewer lifts station and force main project to eliminate the sewage lagoon near Cary Drive
  •  
  • New water mains for Woodcrest Drive, Woodcrest Way and Lewis Road
  •  
  • Water main upgrades for Sand Bar Ferry Road
  •  
  • Finish off water line upgrades on Old Jackson Hwy to Beech Island Avenue
  •  
  • Updated the monitoring/ SCADA System for wells and tanks
  •  
  • Russel Hills upgade completed

  • New water lines on Church Road and Highway 278
  •  
  • New water lines on Horsecreek and Boyd Pond Road

  • Updating all meters from manual read meters to radio read meters
