SYSTEM UPGRADE ASSESSMENT

Dear Consumers of the Beech Island Water District,
The objective of the Board of Directors is to provide you, the consumers with a safe and dependable water supply at a minimum cost. It is our desire to continue this policy. In order to do this we need to make significant improvements to our aging water system that will benefit our consumers.
Unfortunately, in order for us to make improvements to our system, the Board of Directors finds it financially necessary to announce a rate assessment to our consumers, specifically for system upgrades.
Beginning with your bill issued with a due date of November 1, 2013 you will see a System upgrade Fee of $3.00 listed under your current water charges. This is the fee that the Board of Directors has agreed to assess your monthly bill.
Soon after this increase is in place you will be able to visit our website at biwater.org and track the status of our system upgrade plans.
We are confident that the funds generated by this fee will greatly help improve our water system however, if you have any questions or concerns about this assessment please call 803-827-1004.
